Original Deep Groove Mono recording of George Russell's NEW YORK, N.Y. on DECCA label.  The album features John Coltrane on tenor, Bill Evans on piano, Art Farmer on trumpet, Bob Brookmeyer on trombone, Benny Golson on tenor and Phil Woods on alto.  In addition Barry Galbraith is on guitar, Hal McKusick on alto, George Duvivier on bass, Charlie Persip on drums and others, with   narration by John Hendricks.  Arrangements by George Russell with great solos by Coltrane, Bill Evans (who plays more aggressively in a large group setting), Farmer, Golson, Brookmeyer, Woods and Max Roach.
