Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Impulse gatefold Stereo vinyl LP A-31. Van Gelder stamped in dead wax. Released 1963.
EX vinyl may have been played once or twice previously. Retains great sheen and luster - looks new with no handling or play markings. Test played once on NAD C555 turntable revealed rich clear stereo sound. The only (slight) anomalies I detected were one click mid B side and some light surface for about 1/3 of the last track side B. EX laminated gatefold cover has very light shelf wear and straight broad spine and seams. Some interior edge discoloration consistent with age. Firm gatefold hinge seems as though rarely, if ever, opened prior. Hence, I chose not to photograph interior which may compromise hinge firmness.
