NOTE:LITTLE KNOWN FACT CATHEDRAL TRIO ,CATHEDRAL QUARTET.lily Weatherford of the Weatherfords took a couple years off from road travel about 1960 2 raise 2 adopted children the Weatherfords were featured singers regularly when not on the road in Akron ,ohio Rex Humbards church was called The Cathedral of tomorrow. Pastor Rex wife Maude Aimee Humbard , Lily Weatherford ,and Maudes sister formed the group the Cathedral trio ,they sang close to Akron ,ohio mainly.REX wanted a permanent group so the Cathedral trio was formed in 1963 Glenn Payne ,Danny Coker ,Clark? the next year George Younce joined them and formed the Cathedral quartet .Google:southern gospel journal for Weatherfords.and Cathedral Quartet.TRIO as women a little known fact not mentioned. Allow me to share.Rex Humbard ,his wife and there ministry,Cathedral Quartet ,and other singers as popular as they were in the United states they were even more popular in other parts of the world.
