Multi Grammy Award-winning George Benson teamed up in 1987 with his former protégé Earl Klugh to make a smooth jazz album, combining electric and acoustic guitars. Earl Klugh made his first recording at age 15 (with Yusef Lateef), and only a few years later joined George Benson's touring band (after he had already played on Benson's 'White Rabbit' album in 1971). On the instrumental album 'Collaboration', originally released in 1987, Benson and Klugh are backed by Harvey Mason (drums), Paulinho Da Costa (percussion), Marcu Miller (bass), Greg Phillinganes (keyboards & synthesizers) and Paul Jackson (rhythm guitar).
