GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musiche composte e dirette da Georges Delerue. Due facciate completamente differenti per generi musicali con un solo comune denominatore : Georges Delerue. Il compositore di Francia ha un talento smisurato e niente che esce dalle sue partiture può avere scontato. Lato 1, il Valzer. La suggestiva bellezza interpretativa con cui Cora Vaucaire canta il malinconico valzer  " 3 Petites Notes de Musique " ne è una prova. Non c’è enfasi o spinta al dovere emozionarsi nel suo canto e nella musica che l’accompagna. Le note e la voce appaiono quasi fredde e molto essenziali, come volessero riflettere una banale storia di tutti i giorni. Ed invece colpiscono "tutti quelli che hanno un cuore", come due anni dopo avrebbe cantato Dionne Warwick. " Générique ", tema d’apertura del film è un valzer brioso condotto dalla fisarmonica.  Lato, 2 il Jazz. " Blues in Absence " ha un ritmo moderato con un bel assolo di tromba ed un ottimo pianoforte. " Rock’n Roll " ha una buona dinamicità sonora ben espressa da sax, tromba, pianoforte e basso.

Notes : music composed and conducted by Georges Delerue. Two sides completely different for musical genres with one common denominator: Georges Delerue. The composer of France has an immense talent and nothing coming out from his scores can be underestimated. Side 1,  Waltz. The outstanding beauty of performance with which Cora Vaucaire sings the wistful waltz " 3 Petites Notes de Musique " is proof of this. There is no emphasis or push toward emotionalism in her singing and music  accompanying it. Sonorities and voice seem almost detached and very sober, as if to tell a banal and routine story. On the contrary, it strikes "anyone who have a heart". As two years later Dionne Warwick would have sung (with "had" in place of "have", editor's note).  " Générique ", the film opening theme is a lively waltz led by the accordion. Side 2, Jazz. " Blues in Absence " has a moderate rhythm with a beautiful trumpet solo and an excellent piano. " Rock'n Roll " has a pleasant rhythmic dynamism well-expressed by sax, trumpet, piano and bass.

Un film drammatico coprodotto da Francia e Italia diretto da Henri Colpi. Con Alida Valli, Georges Wilson, Charles Blavette, Jacques Harden e Diana Lepvier.
