Description
An unbeatable combination is LOUIS ARMSTRONG playing the music of HOAGY CARMICHAEL. Here's a double-dose of both, "UP A LAZY RIVER" and "GEORGIA ON MY MIND."
This is the scrappy but wonderful 1931 Louis Armstrong band, with ZILMER RANDOLPH (trumpet), PRESTON JACKSON (trombone), LESTER BOONE (clarinet), GEORGE JAMES (alto sax), ALBERT WASHINGTON (tenor sax), CHARLIE ALEXANDER (piano), MIKE McKENDRICK (guitar), JOHNNY LINDSAY (bass) and TUBBY HALL (drums).
This original 1931 OKeh 41541 is in slightly beat V+ condition. Still plays well!
PHOTOS: 1) Louis Armstrong and 2) Hoagy Carmichael, 1931, each in their three-piece wool suits, looking like the law firm of Satchmo and Hogwash.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care.
