MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Columbia Records very first High Fidelity Extended Play Mono press released by Columbia Records in France in 1965, made and distributed by Les Industries Musicales Et Electroniques Pathé Marconi, catalog number ESRF 1706, with machine etched matrix numbers 7TCA 10295 21 M3 244296 Ain Side A and 7TCA 10296 21 M3 244297 in Side B, with orange/black Columbia Records labels of the period and large center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from this side of the world!!!

The first to tell about this 4-tracks EP it’s that it was originally RELEASED ONLY IN FRANCE in 1965, with UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE. The cover is made with a single piece of cardboard folded in the middle with top and bottom flaps, with front cover and the flaps laminated and back cover non-laminated. Front cover has a picture of Georgie Fame with his name and title at top, with EMI Columbia logo at top left corner, catalog number at top right corner and Photo credit at bottom left corner. Back cover has the name Georgie Fame, the tracklist written in English only, with full credits for songwriters and a brief review about Georgie Fame written in French, with other 2 EP’s by Georgie Fame recommended. In labels the song titles are written in English only, with full credits for songwriters and production, and additional information about rights society and play time of each song. It’s interesting to notice that in cover the credit is only for Georgie Fame but in labels it’s for Georgie Fame And The Blue Flames So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE AND UNIQUE PRESS of this 4-tracks EP by Georgie Fame, ONLY RELEASED IN FRANCE, a record rarely seen and A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Georgie Fame and British Invasion, Pop/Beat music!!! WOW!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in nice EX- or even EX condition, complete, clean and clear, with some wear in corners and in the mouth edge, more evident in back cover, with some little rips in front cover, with some age browning, faint blemishes  and ring marks, with all seams solid and the thin spine also intact and fully readable. The record is in VG+ or EX- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only some light scuffs and soft hairlines, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in EX or EX+ condition the Side A, with only a micro rip in the spindle hole and a writing, and in NM or NM+ condition the Side B, I’d say the closest to “perfect”. The sound is in strong EX- or even EX condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise, with only occasional soft crackles, more evident in the silent parts between tracks and in the last seconds of each side, which don’t really cause any distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is still a record with a really nice and glossy look, almost immaculate labels and with great sound quality after about 54 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this MEGARARE FRENCH EP!!! And keep in mind the nice UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE and the fact this EP was ONLY RELEASED IN FRANCE!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP10 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
