Description
ANNETTE HANSHAW was agreeably versatile - she turns up in the most unexpected places. Besides recording under her own name with a galaxy of accompanists, she also sang as "Gay Ellis," "Patsy Young," "Dot Dare" and "Ethel Bingham" (a name from which she cringed), on various assignments from Columbia Records.
In this instance, as "Gay Ellis," Annette croons the choruses with the semi-ethnic FERERA'S HAWAIIAN TRIO, doing "GET OUT AND GET UNDER THE MOON" and "LONELY NIGHTS IN HAWAII." No matter what name she used, her thousand-watt charm always shines through.
This original 1928 Harmony 713-H is in clean E- condition. The labels came out gnarly in the photos, but trust me, they're just fine. Who ya gonna believe? ME or your lyin' EYES?? By the way, despite Harmony's usual clinging to the Acoustical recording process (till 1930), this record was made electrically.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.” I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
