The Ogyatanaa Show Band was the creation of one of Ghana's most creative producers, Kwadwo Donkoh. He was the first to put out an instrumental LP in West Africa - Ray Ellis' Keyboard Africa. He was also the first to record the Ga culturalgroup, Wulomei, who went on to be massive throughout Ghana. Never short of an original idea he also produced the only collection of African Christmas song ever released. He wrote and recorded the last big-band LP to be released by the Uhurus, including the first recording of a big bandsoul track, I know my mission.Ogyatanaa Show Band were a guitar band that were formed by Kwadwo, who wrote the song and managed the band entirely. Their biggest success came with this album Yerefrefre LP from 1975, a medley that play tribute to the greats og Ghanaian highlife.
