Original french pressing from 1979 on the Cobalt label from one of the weirdest musicians-groups out there, creating something really unique. On the Nurse with wound list of influences(this is the only LP, that Steven Stapleton could have in mind at the moment at of the release of his famous list, as this one was released on 1979, while the other 2 Tazartes records date back to 1982 and 1984, it's common logic). Mr.Ghedalia Tazartes will drive you out of your mind with the highly sensitive use of experimental vocals, his voice reminds at times gypsy vocals, children's or woman's voice!! Tazartes creates a bed of loops/drones with the use of loops or old synths and sings on the top with result some sort of gypsy folk music!! Originally recorded in 1977 "Diasporas" (a dispersion of a people from their original homeland) and, as far as I can tell, is composed almost entirely out of vocal sounds looped and then chanted and sung over in a language that I don't recognize except for the occasional French ballad or spoken passage. So we start with a 10 minute suite of songs called "Un amour si grand qu'il nie son objet" (A love so large that it denies its object) and continue down that path until track 4 goes into a little piano and toy piano piece by French electroacoustic composer Michel Chion called "Quasimodo Tango" sung in French, then back to the gypsy-esque music and loops. There are tracks that even sound kind of like a tribal punk rock orgy. Fields totally unexplored from every aspect...mystical polyphonies, ethnic influences from all over the world composer a unique puzzle that i doubt you'll find anywhere else!!

Vinyl is vg++ with some minor flaws that most of the times do not influence playing, while cover is graded vg++(small bend, tear).
