Description

"G. I. Jive" radio show transcription disc.  Two complete 15 minute radio programs on this 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc.  This disc was issued to Armed Forces Radio Service radio stations for broadcast to U. S. troops overseas during the World War Two era and not available to the general public, very rare!

"G. I. Jive" radio program #1239 hosted by "G. I. Jill" who serves as disc jockey and plays records requested for U. S. Troops overseas.  Records played include "Drum Boogie" Gene Krupa, "You Won't Be Satisfied" Les Brown, "Snowfall" Claude Thornhill, "Caldonia" Louis Jordan.  15 minutes

"G. I. Jive" radio program #1240 hosted by "G. I. Jill" who serves as disc jockey and plays records requested for U. S. Troops overseas.  Records played include "Let's Dance" Benny Goodman, "Yesterdays" Gene Krupa, "Baby What You Do To Me" Harry James, "Tuxedo Junction" Glenn Miller.  15 minutes

Programs were meant to be broadcast to servicemen overseas, Excellent World War Two Era nostalgic broadcasts!   

Disc is in Excellent Condition with Excellent Sound, Beautiful Disc!

Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables.   I will include a CD dub of the disc for the buyer only
