GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : interessanti e sofisticate composizioni di Gianni Marchetti prevalentemente basate sull'utilizzazione di vocalizzi femminili senza parole di senso compiuto ed in qualche caso anche maschili combinati con sonorità dall'andamento generalmente lento creando così temi ed atmosfere di eterea, impalpabile, rarefatta, bella psichedelia. E' presente il coro "4+4" di Nora Orlandi. Fra le tracce: "Amore in Controluce" (a1) caratterizzata da uno splendido vocalizzo femminile con alcune sue improvvise fermate ed immediate ripartenze, "Psico in Controluce" (b3) con rulli di tamburo e minimali suoni di pianoforte che nel loro ripetersi creano una sensazione d'ossessività fino all'intervento del sitar con le sue nitide vibrazioni. "Psico Classico" (b1) che parte con un bel fraseggio tra la chitarra e i vivaci vocalizzi femminili poi con l'ingresso della batteria il coro rimane in sottofondo creando una suggestiva atmosfera psichedelica fino alla ripresa degli "scats" iniziali. "Psico in Controluce" (a5) con basso e percussioni dalle sonorità pacate, ma l'intervento della chitarra e di un bel vocalizzo femminile accelerano il ritmo fino all'entrata del sitar a cui il pedale della grancassa della batteria fa da contrappunto. Infine "Amore in Controluce" (b5) dove le vibrazioni sonore della chitarra sembrano scariche elettriche con tenui suoni d'organo e batteria in sottofondo, poi la chitarra si rasserena aprendo la strada ad uno splendido vocalizzo femminile. 

Notes : interesting and sophisticated compositions by Gianni Marchetti mainly based on the use of female wordless vocalizations and in some cases also male, combined with sonorities from often slow development, thus creating themes and atmospheres of ethereal, intangible, rarefied, very beautiful psychedelic music. Features the chorus "4+4" by Nora Orlandi. Among the tracks: "Amore in Controluce" (a1), characterized by a splendid female vocalization with some sudden stops and immediate restarts, "Psico in Controluce" (b3) with drum rolls and minimalist piano sonorities that create with their repetitiveness a feeling of obsession until the entry of the sitar with its sharp, vibrating sound. "Psycho Classico" (b1) begins with a nice phrasing between the guitar and the lively female vocalisms, then with the appearance of the drums the chorus remains in the background, creating suggestive atmosphere psychedelic until the reprise of the initial scats. "Psico in Controluce"  (a5) with bass and percussion from measured sonorities, then the entry of the guitar and a beautiful female vocalization intensify the rhythm until the involvement of the sitar to whom the bass drum pedal acts as a counterpoint. Finally, "Amore in Controluce" (b5) wherein the vibrations of the guitar seem electric discharges with faint drums and organ sonorities in the background, then the guitar relaxes opening the way to a beautiful female vocalization.
