Condizioni : copertina che mostra alcune sbiaditure nella parte alta del lato frontale causate dal ring wear e una serie di piccole grinze lungo il bordo superiore ed inferiore. Una piega attraversa in verticale tutta la superficie della copertina, qualche traccia di logoramento negli angoli in particolare su quello inferiore sinistro; bello stato, EX / vinile con pochi leggeri segnetti che non condizionano minimamente il perfetto ascolto; grande stato, NEAR MINT

Condition : cover shows some discloration in the upper part of the front side caused by the ring wear and a series of small creases along the upper and lower edges. A bend vertically crosses the whole surface of the cover, some creasing and bumping in the corners especially on the lower left / vinyl has a few minor scuffs not affecting listening at all, NEAR MINT

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : un album molto piacevole d'ascoltare. Temi romantici quasi sempre sottolineati dai Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni s'alternano a quattro belle canzoni pop-rock interpretate in Inglese dai Middle of the Road. In aggiunta un pò d'esotismo e venature psichedeliche. Fra i brani: "E così prosegue un discorso d'amore" (a5) con ottimi vocalizzi trasognanti di Giulia De Mutiis, allora moglie di Alessandroni, accompagnata dalle note della chitarra, "Lisa e Robert" (a6) dal tessuto percussivo con sonorità e vocalizzi esotici che ricordano "Djamballa" di Augusto Martelli nel film "Il Dio Serpente. "Hippie's Love" (b2) dalle atmosfere psichedeliche derivanti dall'intreccio dei suoni del flauto, organo, chitarra, basso, batteria mentre I Cantori Moderni cantano in Inglese, "Musica per una lunga attesa" (b4) basata su vocalizzi del coro di Alessandroni e dalle mistiche sonorità dell'organo. "The sun in the skin" (b1) dove la bella voce di Sally Carr è affiancata dai cori del gruppo in un brano rock con qualche sfumatura psichedelica. Anche le altre tre canzoni dei Middle of the Road sono estremamente valide. in generale si può dire che sono ballate dal ritmo vivace con buona percussività. A mio modesto avviso la migliore è "The way of life" (b3) dove la musica rock viene esaltata dalle pulsazioni del basso e dal buon fraseggio della batteria. Infine "L'incontro" nelle due versioni che aprono e chiudono il disco (a1, b7), con temi romantici e malinconici guidati dal flauto, chitarre e pianoforte.

Notes : a very pleasant album to listen to. Romantic themes often with the participation of Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni alternate with four pop-rock lovely songs performed in English by Middle of the Road in addition to a bit of exoticism and psychedelic veins. Among the tracks:  "E così prosegue un discorso d'amore" (a5) with excellent dreamy wordless vocalizations by Giulia De Mutiis, at that time wife of Alessandroni, with the accompaniment of guitar, "Lisa and Robert" (a6) from the percussive texture with exotic sonorities and vocalizations recalling "Djamballa" by Augusto Martelli in the movie "Il Dio Serpente". "Hippie's Love" (b2) with psychedelic atmospheres arising from the sound interweaving of sound from flute, organ, guitar, bass, drums while I Cantori Moderni sing in English, "Musica per una lunga attesa" (b4)  based on vocalizations by Alessandroni's chorus and the mystical organ sonorities. "The sun in the skin" (b1) wherein the beautiful voice of Sally Carr is supported by backing vocals of her group in a rock song with some psychedelic hint. The other three songs of Middle of the Road are very nice. In general it can be said that these are ballads from the lively rhythm with good percussiveness. In my humble opinion the best is "The way of life" (b3) where rock music is emphasized by the pulsations of the bass and the excellent drumming. Finally, "L'incontro" in two versions that open and close the album (a1, b7), with melancholy and romantic themes led by flute, guitar and piano.
