I was prepared for a creepy psych album (for better or worse) from the opener, but couldn't be further off.  It's very much a good times sound overall, although they can handle themselves with some nice momentary freakouts such as the intro to "The Chance You Take".  "Lydia Purple" is the standout masterpiece amongst a very consistent, uncharacteristically numerous set of songs.  A Giant Crab Comes Forth mixes up the guitars, organ, lots of brass and more for a great vibe.  These guys are much like a better version of the Grass Roots, blue-eyed soul with a touch of psychedelia, with great backing arrangements.
