Due to the over abundance of guitars now crowding my studio and the fact that I am not playing much jazz these days, my much beloved Custom L-5 CES (Cutaway) is now up for auction. Purchased originally in 1979 .
The serial number is 73029010 which means it was made on October 29, 1979 and was the 10th instrument stamped that day in the Kalamazoo factory. There is the word SECOND also stamped below the serial number indicating a factory cosmetic flaw (I believe it is the finish not being perfect in some way, but not sure, I will ask Ken and post additional information as acquired) and was therefore discounted, but this does not indicate that the instrument is inferior in tone or playability
