This thing is simply another LIMITED EDITION original brilliant design by a guy who's been doing it with style for many years.
Boyd Rice & Giddle Partridge do their own music and reinterpret classics of pop, ye ye, serge gainsbourg, brigitte bardot, suicide, alan vega, 60's bubblegum flavored beauty and drama. If you know your Boyd Rice, you know what a fan of 60's music he is. The more kitsch the more he seems to enjoy it. Ye Ye, bubblegum of many flavors... so imagine what his big brain can put together with his breadth and width of knowledgeth.
This is just an aside, but he recently placed a call to my bossman about his new book, titled NO! I grabbed the phone and started gabbing to the mighty one and only Boyd Rice about bubblegum from the late 60's because I am obsessed with it, have one of the largest collections of vinyl on the planet, and am responsible for a series called Bubblegum Motherf*cker, which has grown in mystique and popularity over the years since I stopped pressing it. I'm actually set up to start doing it again, and knew of his love of certain kinds of bubblegum, so I was dying for someone to talk to about it, and started poking at his brain to find out what kinds he likes and how deeply. Once he mentioned being excited about a copy of a song sung by a girl, about how much she likes her birthday suit, a.k.a. being naked, I told him that he was in possession of a tape of a song by the amazing Cattanooga Cats called "My Birthday Suit" (which is on Bubblegum Motherfu*ker #24, by the way), I realized I'd made a new bubblegum pal.
So my hijacked phonecall ended with my offer of a couple of copies of the CD series, and he seemed quite happy about that.
This story wasn't supposed to make you excited about my third-hand "friendship" with Boyd Rice. It's supposed to make you understand just how much he loves the late 60's/early 70's supercatchy yumyums, and give you some insight into how FREAKING GREAT this 10" vinyl IS!

Boyd Blake Rice (born July or December 1956) is an American experimental sound artist under the monicker of NON since the mid-1970s, archivist, actor, photographer, author, member of the Partridge Family Temple religious group, co-founder of the UNPOP art movement and current staff writer for Modern Drunkard Magazine.
Under the name NON, originally with second member Robert Turman, Rice has recorded several seminal noise music albums, and collaborated with experimental music/dark folk artists like Current 93, Death In June and Rose McDowall. Most of his music has been released on the Mute Records label. Rice has also collaborated with Foetus, Tony Wakeford of Sol Invictus and Michael Moynihan of Blood Axis. His later albums have often been explicitly conceptual.
On Might! (1995), Rice layers portions of "Ragnar Redbeard"'s Social Darwinist harangue, Might is Right over sound beds of looped noise and manipulated frequencies. 1997's God and Beast explores the intersection in the soul of man's physical and spiritual natures over the course of an album that alternates abrasive soundscapes with passages of tranquility.
In 2006 Rice returned to the studio to record raw vocal sound sources for a collaboration with Industrial percussionist/ethnomusicologist Z'ev. In addition he and long time friend Giddle Partridge are recording an album titled LOVE/LOVE-BANG/BANG!, under the band name of Giddle & Boyd.
While the above may have ended up not being perfectly correct, they did record this record together!

If you want to see the vinyl pulled from its sleeve and resting on a dusty surface, look at someone else's auction or blog and then come back to our page and buy a copy in PERFECT SHAPE.

This is vinyl, NOT A CD. You play it on a turntable. That's an arcane device that spins plastic around and around at a constant speed and a diamond on the end of a stick scrapes at it and makes noise that you hopefully enjoy. While the price I'm asking might seem a little insane, I'm not averse to making some sort of a deal. Make an offer. But do it quickly!
