Up for auction is a nice, clean copy of the Gigi Gryce album "Saying Somthin'" released on New Jazz Records in 1960.  This is a guaranteed, original, deep groove first pressing with RVG in the run-out grooves.  Yes, both sides are deep groove.  Features the incredible trumpet work of Richard Williams
Cover is in very nice condition, still retains its original high gloss shine to the front surface.  Lamination looks nice, though there is some mild lifting along the opening edge on right (see photo).  Also, there is a light line that crosses middle part (see photo), which doesn't really detract much from the overall positive appearance of the cover.  No obvious ring wear, though does have a tiny amount of rubbing that's hard to see.  Corners look sharp, though the top and bottom left have a tiny amount of rubbing, and bottom left has very minor bump.  Seams are strong and intact, no splits, no cracking.  Spine is beautiful, with bold and clear lettering.  Back cover is super clean, bone white as it should be.  No ring wear, no writing, no age discoloration.  Does have a factory inspection stamp in upper right corner.  Overall, it'd grade this cover as Excellent/Excellent Plus (EX/EX+), a very nice example.
Vinyl is also in very nice condition, retaining its original high gloss luster.  No real obvious scratches or scuffs, though it does have a couple very light, small marks that can't be felt, nor do they affect play back in any way.  Perhaps some very faint signs of having been taken in and out of original paper inner sleeve.  Labels look bright and clean, with only very minimal signs of previous play.  I've play tested this record, and it sounds very nice.  Not audiophile clean, the beginning of each side plays with a minor amount of surface noise, that fades out and in a little, as is typical of New Jazz records, but once the music kicks in, its hardly noticeable.  Still produces very nice, full-bodied mono sound, and should be played in mono mode on your system, which will minimize any potential background distractions.  Plays very nicely on my mono block system.  Overall, a very presentable and attractive copy of nice jazz rarity.  I'd grade the record as Excellent (EX).
