Description

This is the 1988 STEREO IMPULSE  / MCA LP ISSUE OF THE ORIGINAL 1962 IMPULSE RECORDS ALBUM titled 'Into The Hot' from The Gil Evans Orchestra.  It is Impulse / MCA Records U.S. catalog number MCA-39104, pressed by KM on KC 569 audiophile quality vinyl, with the original factory shrinkwrap with all original stickers still surrounding the cover.  Record comes packaged inside the cover in its thin plastic inner sleeve and with its original liner note insert  
"MCA-31904" lower-left front cover.
Stickers on back (2): "Custom Pressed On KC 569 Blend Premium Vinyl - Audiophile"
"Includes original liner notes and photos."
Barcode also on back cover, and: "Mastered by Greg Fulginiti at Artisan Sound Recorders, Hollywood CA" and "© 1988 MCA Records, Inc."

The original releases were gatefolds: this release is not, and uses an insert sheet to carry the liner notes and a single photo of Gil Evans.
The Gil Evans Orchestra is comprised of many stellar jazz players including Cecil Taylor-piano. Archie Shepp-tenor sax, Urbie Green-trombone, Phil Woods-alto sax, and many others.  Album was produced by Creed Taylor.
