GILLAN 'Magic' PICTURE DISC LP FORTY Year Old CLASSIC In Great Condition

British hard rock legend Ian Gillan joined iconic rock band Deep Purple in 1969. By 1973, he left that group, and formed his own band, The Ian Gillan Band, in 1975. In 1978, Ian Gillan formed the band Gillan, (with different members). In 1982, FORTY years ago, the band Gillan released an album called 'Magic', featuring future Iron Maiden guitarist Janick Gers!

In 1983, Gillan joined Black Sabbath, for one album, one tour, and about one year. Gillan had reportedly hated his time in Sabbath, (as well as that album and tour). His friendship with Tony Iommi has continued, however, and the two have worked together again since that ill-fated 'Born Again' Sabbath album. Ian Gillan rejoined Deep Purple in 1984 for the reunion and tours, but left Deep Purple again in 1989. By 1993, Gillan rejoined Deep Purple, where he has been since, and to this very day!  (Fun fact: Gillan also played Jesus Christ in the original recording of the rock opera 'Jesus Christ Superstar', around 1970. He sang on the album that was recorded before the movie, and performed that role on stage!)

In today's rockin' good deal, you'll get a copy of that FORTY year old vintage classic Gillan album, and on a special, limited edition picture disc LP! In its original die-cut sleeve, with a bright yellow cover, and credits, song titles, and song lyrics on the back. The pic disc is artwork from the album's cover on the A side, and a drawn sketch of the band on the pic disc's B side! This includes a picture insert with the artwork from the album's cover! The album also contains a Stevie Wonder remake of one of his biggest hits, "Living For the City"!

The vinyl looks great, and is still all shiny and clean! Die-cut sleeve also looks really nice, with very minor shelf-wear on it, mostly on the corners. Nothing bad, and hardly noticeable! Hard to find in this condition, and ready to come home with you now! I cannot vouch for the sound, as I never play specialty vinyl, such as pic discs and colored records; but as mentioned, a visual inspection shows the vinyl to be in great condition. And with the original die-cut sleeve AND the special picture insert added, this becomes a premium vintage collectible! For fans of Ian Gillan, The Ian Gillan Band, Gillan, and Deep Purple.
