Blue/Silver Label Stereo Original 1st D pressing 1971 LABEL / LABELCODE MATRIX NUMBERS EXTRAS GRADING Philips 6369006 AA6369006-1Y & 2Y Laminated Gatefold Gimmick Cover EX/VG+++ DESCRIPTION Debut and sole album from this Newcastle hard blues rock trio. Orginally released in 1971 this album has become a real rarity and collector's item. They had a good reputation as a live act and wrote some strong material on their album, with the continuous track "The House"/"Sun In A Bottle" the highlight, alongside a cover version of The Beatles' "And I Love Her". Geoff Sharkey (guitar, vocals) had earlier played in Sammy. Further members were Stewart Burlison (bass) and David Whitaker on drums. CONDITIONS RECORD: Visually both sides with only a few surface marks and hairlines, seen in critical 100W light! Has been only a few plays and must be therefore grade as EXCELLENT or better!! Both sides of this great album play with almost no clicks and pops. The sound quality of this classic vintage pressing-thick, heavyweight press is still full!! LABELS: Both labels in VERY GOOD++ condition with only some spindle marks. Side one with a sticker and a stamp (VERY GOOD). COVER: This flimsy and fragile thin laminated gimmick gatefold cover has only some corner and seam wear! No tape. No splits. No writings, no stamps, no stickers. No ring wear!! Only some dirt and spots inside the gatefold! This wonderful cover must be grade as VG+++ (EXCELLENT)! SUMMARY A mega rare and sought-after heavy blues record from the late 60's!!! A must have!!! © 2006 www.recordcollector.org Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
