GIORGIO MORODER - You Take My Breath Away RARE UNRELEASED ACETATE Berlin Top Gun.
This auction is for a very rare and possibly unique acetate of Giorgio Moroder's 'Giorgio Moroder Project' alias. Giorgio Moroder had a number of releases out on the German 'Caus-N'-ff-ct' label around the time of the Millennium (2000/2001) releasing House/Dance tracks. This acetate features the 'Kurvenschneider' remix of the Giorgio Moroder Project track 'You Take My Breath Away' on the 'A' side, which was a track sampling Berlin's Moroder produced track of the same name that featured in the film 'Top Gun'. I can't find any record of this track having a commercial release on vinyl and the only other mention that I can find is that it featured on a dance compilation CD from Austria. I'm not sure whether it was planned for a commercial release and then not released or whether just the vinyl release was never produced? The 'B' side features the 'Rumble Weed' remix of the Moroder produced Blondie track 'Call Me', although on the acetate it's listed as being by the Giorgio Moroder Project, around the same time there was a release on the same label of 'Call Me' produced by Todd Terry which had a 'Rumble Weed' mix - I'm not sure if this is another version or just that track mislabelled? Either way this is a nice rarity for a Giorgio Moroder fan and collector.
Vinyl Condition - Very Good/ Very Good+ Cover Condition - Very Good+
PLEASE NOTE: I would grade this acetate as being in Very Good/Very Good+ condition, please be aware that it does have scuffs and marks on the playing surface from use.
UPDATE: Please note that these tracks do not feature vocals and they do not use the actual original tracks by Berlin or Blondie although the production is still by Giorgio Moroder and then remixed.
