Gregg Gillis. Biomedical engineer by day, mash-up DJ by night. Although his groundbreaking parties and experimental dance albums began almost a decade ago, he catapulted into worldwide acclaim when his 2006 ritalin-fueled mash-up album Night Ripper took the dance floors and music festivals by storm. Throwing damn near everything in his sound-editing blender, from Elvis Costello to Biggie Smalls to White Zombie to Aphex Twin to Outkast to Nirvana to Missy Elliott and many…MANY more…Girl Talk evolved the already-popular mashup trend and turned the adrenaline up to 10. His follow-up albums, 2008’s Feed the Animals and 2010’s All Day, hit the same pleasure zones and funny bones that their predecessor did, but to the ailment of his beloved party monster fanbase, those albums never saw a vinyl treatment.
