London trio Girls In Synthesis follow underground smash 'Now Here's an Echo From Your Future' with their second LP 'The Rest Is Distraction'. Their far-flung punk-based sound encompasses noise rock, post-hardcore, gothic rock, anarcho-punk, and early hardcore, taking cues from the first couple of Siouxsie & The Banshees' LPs and Crass. Their visceral, raw, and energetic sound of their debut remains, though the added instrumentation of onetime The Fall member Eleni Poulou and Stanley Bad hears them move into more atmospheric climbs.
