Description

The classic original Gould recording of the Goldberg Variations, on 1956 first pressing Columbia 6-Eye ML 5060. The disc is in beautiful VG+, with a few surface scuffs that generally don't affect the play. There is a very little bit of faint crackle here and there, but mostly it plays quietly and beautifully. Really I listened to the whole thing, as I love to do as often as I can, and it was almost perfect. What little crackle does occur is not distracting, for me. Anyhow the cover has a seam split across most of the top edge, but is otherwise in great shape, with no ringwear and no dogears. A bit of general shelfwear and age, but still crisp, shiny and beautiful. A lovely copy.
