WHEN DEEP Purple called it quite sin 1976 all the members went off on various solo projects, not least of all Glenn Hughes. Glenn's love of soul and funk took centre stage for his debut solo album so what you have here is a collection of funky tracks with a moving soul influence. It also features strings which propel the songs into a sort of Stevie Wonder direction. An interesting record and one that has subsequently been re-evaluated as a brilliant example of white soul. Sadly at the time the album was blasted for its diverse and non rock style so it sank without trace with very few copies sold - now of course everyone wants to own an original. Here's your change to secure a great copy.

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Pressing: Safari, UK, 1977

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition with no signs of use or spindle marks - I would say unplayed. Grades as shop fresh MINT!

Cover: Again, no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated cover - retains full printers bloom. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is perfectly square, stiff, straight and uncrushed. Beautiful and impossible to find like this after 41 years. Looks like it walked out of the factory yesterday. Grades as shop fresh MINT!
