This is the very first album of Glenn Miller’s music ever issued, An Album of Outstanding Arrangements, on 1944 first pressing RCA 4-disc set P-148. Released during the record ban because of the war, when they were rationing the materials used to make records, and so not very common. This is the second issue of the famed In The Mood record, the last version made with the original master, and so way better sounding than later issues. All four discs are about V+, with a few scuffs and signs of use and light wear, but still very shiny and pretty clean, playing beautifully with only light background noise, which you would get even on a mint copy. Really nice playing discs. The cover is unusually clean, with a perfectly intact spine and only minimal edge and corner wear. Really a beautiful copy! This is a hard album to find in such good shape.
