Absolutely beautiful copy of the original 1939 very first ever release of Glenn Miller’s classic In the Mood b/w I Want to Be Happy, on Bluebird 78 B-10416. The difference in sound quality between the original master (only used on the Bluebird release) and the later pressings is dramatic. This copy sounds just incredible, like the band coming out of the speakers. The tune became so popular that the master wore out by the mid 40s and had to be re-dubbed from a secondary source, and never sounded as good again. Here you have the real original. This copy is very nice indeed, nearly immaculate with only a couple of very light superficial scuffs and minor signs of use. Plays perfectly! Really a top, top copy. Near impossible to beat.
