This lot contains two RCA Victor Records 12-inch 33 RPM album sets of 5 LP's each, eponymously titled "Glenn Miller and his Orchestra", Volume 1 and Volume 2 respectively. The record pockets are spiral-bound into the albums, and preceded by descriptive and pictorial booklets. Each one is labeled as a "collector's issue" and as a "limited edition", and each one has a padded and gilt-lettered cover.

The first one is RCA Victor set # LPT-6700, which contains a 16-page booklet, in which the edition number is stamped as Y-374. It is titled simply "Glenn Miller and his Orchestra - Limited Edition."

The other one is RCA Victor set # LPT-6701, which contains a 20-page booklet, in which the edition number is stamped as HHH-302. It is titled "Glenn Miller and his Orchestra - Limited Edition - Volume Two."

The albums are in good and functional condition, but most of the record pockets are starting to split at the middle of the bottom edge. There are also some noticeable surface scuffs and soiling and edge wear on the covers, especially at the ends of the spines. Also, Volume 1 has a dampstain at the lower outside corner of the booklet and record pockets.

As for the records, the five in Volume 1 are quite heavily played, with lots of scuffs and scratches on all sides. Rather than spend hours playing them, therefore, I present the overall disclaimer that I do not expect them to sound good or play well, and I do not guarantee them against skips, jumps or repeats.

The five records in Volume 2 look to be on average in about VG+ condition, still nice and shiny, and most sides with very little visible surface wear of any great significance. I can't say that I've played them all all the way through, but I picked what I thought were the three worst looking sides (Sides 3,4 and 10), and I played them on my Audio-Technica turntable. There were no jumps or repeats, but there is some light and intermittent background crackle, as well as a few scattered clicks and pops and a few passages of repetitive ticking. I would expect the other sides to play at least as well, if not better, but I still can't guarantee against a random skip caused by a minuscule scratch or needle dig, or a grain of encrusted dust. Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, however, I can offer no guarantees as to how well they will play on your equipment.
