GNIDROLOG IN SPITE OF HARRY’S TOENAIL RCA VICTOR SF 8261 (UK) 1972
ORIGINAL 1972 UK LP WITH SUPERB EMBOSSED ‘HESSIAN’ TEXTURED COVER
EXCELLENT TO NEAR MINT CONDITION
nice heavy pressing - the record has just a few almost invisible surface hairlines and some light insignificant scuffs - plays near mint - both labels clean, bright and sharp with no spindle marks - fantastic cover with 13 great photos of the band on the inside gatefold plus complete lyrics - amazing heavily textured ‘hessian’ effect both inside and out - some minimal edgewear and light, almost invisible wear to the outside of the embossed sleeve here and there - no splits or tears anywhere - inside gatefold perfect (see photos) - small and unobtrusive name, date and price details to the top right and left rear corners - a couple of corners lightly bumped - I have found ‘Toenail’ to be, in actual fact, equally as rare and, in my humble opinion, somewhat better than their second LP ‘Lady Lake’ - this is one of the most advanced, intense and unique records of the era - a rather astonishing progressive statement and, without doubt, an essential part of any prog collection - four unbelievable long epic compositions and two beautiful shorter pieces - NO RESERVE
