The Go Go Drums set: psychodelic sound
Original Chilean pressing from 1967 (CML-2516-X). This another album I got from that famous archive I had access to. So another very clean promo copy. Record is in EX condition. The sleeve is in near mint condition. Psych-out!
This is a weird record! Somebody told me these were guys from Beat 4, but I'm not shure though. I find it hard to trust Chilean dealers.
It's on the UES label, RCA's sublabel for the youth (best known for the release of Los Vidreos quebrados).
All songs are instrumental medleys. Nice cheesy organs, good guitars, up-beat drums and even swinging saxophone!
On the back is a very interesting story about LSD. Besides other things about LSD it says "este LP que ofrece un sonido diferente y con ritmo a GO GO, tiene algo de este mundo psicodelico diferente ya que fue realizado en una sesion experimental lisergica. La intencion de los musicos ha sido hacer bailar y creemos que con este ritmo no quedara nadie inmovil... De seguro todos querran entrar a este nuevo y maravilloso mundo que ofrece el Psychodelic Sound...Bienvenidos..." translated: " This LP that offers a different sound and with the rhythm of GO GO, has something of this different psychedelic world since it was realized in an experimental lysergic meeting. The intention of the musicians has been to make dance and we believe that with this rhythm will make everybody dance... To assure everybody will enter to this new and wonderful world that offers the Psychodelic Sound... Welcome ... "
