On their latest single 7", Peacefrog are heard leasing prized label and wax real estate to Sydney-Berlin producer Logic1000, who here remixes Swedish guitarist and songwriter Jose Gonzalez's huge international hit 'Heartbeats'. The track was first recorded in 2003 for Gonzalez' debut LP Veneer, and, aside from being his breakthrough, was in turn a "remix" of The Knife's synthpop original. Logic1000's version is extraverted and breaks-centric, with foot-charging Reeses a burrowing, solid breaks backbone, set against a neon gothic cage of vocal hups and expert delay design.
