Description
We are thrilled and honoured to be offering for sale a number of items from the late Stan Tracey's own personal collection on behalf of his son Clark Tracey. This includes many extremely rare albums, some purchased by Stan during his time in New York, plus test pressings and other gems collected over his lifetime as a musician and composer.
A 1985 French Cadre Rouge Audiophile Stereo reissue of Grachan Moncur III - Evolution. Originally recorded in 1963, this is a DMM (Direct Metal Master) Teldec press copy which offers a crisper, sharper sound quality. Released on the Blue Note blue & white label BST 84153.
Ultrasonically cleaned, the vinyl has retained an excellent glossy lustre with no real marks worth mentioning. Clean labels and spindle holes - graded EX.
Playtest reveals a detailed, crisp and vibrant sound with superb stereo separation. It plays through beautifully with no jumping, sticking or other issues.
The outer sleeve is solid & robust overall but with a 5cm area of shelf wear/rubbing to the bottom seam ( see photos). Crisp edges and good readable spine. Some mild discolouration. No writing, splits, tape or tears.
The original Blue Note inner sleeve is included & still doing a great job!
Reasonably priced to reflect sleeve condition.
