GRAHAM BOND WITH MAGICK - WE PUT OUR MAGICK ON YOU

A  very nice condition copy of this 1971 UK Vertigo swirl 1st press rock gem, with the sparingly played gleaming vinyl and faultless audio quality being real highlights

Record Label :  1971 UK Vertigo Swirl
Label number : VO 6360 023

Matrix numbers : 6360042 1 Y//1  420  /   6360042 2 Y//1  420  (all machine stamped)
Stamper codes :  1 1 1  04  /  1 1 1  04
Nice weighty and completely flat gleaming vinyl is in excellent plus (EX+) condition and in normal daylight comes across as in perfect condition, retaining a lovely jet black sheen. With very close inspection under a bright light it is just possible to detect a couple of wispy hairlines and the very occasional and extremely faint paper scuff mark on each side, and on side 1 a couple of small areas of very light "shadowing" where the vinyl may have reacted very slightly with the poly-lined inner sleeve...I stress that each of these blemishes (far too strong a word!) are purely superficial (not easy to locate, even under a bright light) and have no impact whatsoever on the outstanding sound quality. Clearly this record has been played sparingly, probably less than 10 times in my estimation.  Near perfect (EX+) labels - unmarked apart from just a couple of small and extremely light spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label.  The non-laminated outer gatefold sleeve remains highly presentable and is in a solid very good (VG) condition. The edges remain firm but there is noticeable mild scuffing on the bottom edges, a little light scuffing on the top edges and a few sporadic light scuff marks on the spine though the spine text itself remains intact and legible. Each corner remains a nicely defined right angle but there is a little rubbing on each. There is also a vertical light "abrasion" mark on the front side next to the opening edge and the occasional small and light storage mark on each of the front and back side. There is also a small area of scuffing towards the top right hand corner on the front side where a sticker has been previously removed (see photo). The opening edges remain firm with barely any fraying and the art work, colours and text remain nicely intact and well defined, and the interior of the gatefold is truly excellent with barely any marks at all.  Near mint (NM) audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, clicks or background interference/crackle...great sound quality throughout, hard to fault in any way in fact! Comes with original poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve, correctly dated and remaining fully functional though there is a 3cm split in the middle of the bottom edge and the right edge has possibly suffered a seam split at some stage and been skillfully repaired. There is also some age discolouration towards the edges, but barely any creasing and no top edge fraying. My photos give an accurate idea of the true condition of the outer and inner sleeves through they cannot of course relay the truly wonderful condition of the vinyl and impeccable sound quality!
An increasingly rare and sought after 1971 original UK Vertigo swirl 1st pressing, remaining highly presentable and still making for a great listen.

POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £5 using Royal Mail 1st class signed for ;

for continental Europe £14 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £20 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

Note that for Italy I now use a courier (either Parcelforce, UPS or DPD) for shipping purposes, for a flat fee of £17 (that includes tracking and signature)

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl(s) into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the sleeve itself  to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 52 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard

Descriptions of any records I sell comply with the Rare Record Price Guide grading guidelines :

Mint  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair  The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor  The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad  The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
