Another from my personal collection! Purchased from new and barely ever played, perhapes only two or three times if that! (so rare to ever find like this, over 40 years old) This has been stored in a case with the vinyl seperated from the sleeve and cover, this is how I have always stored my records! I have decided to list this awesome killer Rock album due to the fact that it is so rare to find in this condition. In virtually unplayed condition like this! I must stress that with this album, ! This vinyl and audio is truly (truly) exceptional throughout!. A true joy to listen to! This is exceptional and is highly collectable in this condition! This looks and plays awesome throughout! The audio separation is outstanding a real deep bassey feel! quite rare to find! Features the original Silver Round 'Dollar type' cover in absolutely exceptional condition also! This is complete with the original round lyric and picture inner both are very near as mint condition. The vinyl shows sighn of very little play only and the audio would grade at least excellent plus! Please note there is just one place that at the quiet intro to the third track on side one that I heard some light static type ticks that looks like it was cause by a needle been dropped at this point and has produced very tiny dots at this point. That's all and is soon forgotten. The rest plays through as new in my opinion. vAudio graded at least excellent to excellent plus!A rare album to ever find like this!
E Pluribus Funk is Grand Funk Railroads 's fifth studio album, and was released in November 1971 by Grand Funk Records Label in the UK . This is the final Grand Funk Railroad album produced by Terry Knight . The title is a play on the former motto of the US government, E Plurbus Unum The original release cover (designed by Earny Cafalu ) was completely round and covered with a silver-like film to resemble a large coin. Grand Funk broke The Beatles' Shea Stadium attendance record by selling out in just 72 hours. The back side of the cover of this album included a die cast picture of Shea Stadium to honor that feat.

The band was formed in 1969 by Mark Farner and Don Brewer from Terry Knight and the Pack and Mel Schacher from Question Mark & the Mysterians; Knight soon became the band's manager.
Knight named the band after the Grand Trunk Western Railroad, a well-known rail line in Michigan. First achieving recognition at the 1969 Atlanta Pop Festival, the band was signed by Capitol Records in the US. After a raucous, well-received set on the first day of the festival, the group was asked back to play two additional days.
Patterned after hard rock power trios such as Cream, the band, with Terry Knight's marketing savvy, developed its own popular style. In 1969, the band released its first album titled On Time, which sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold record in 1970. In the same year, a second album, Grand Funk (aka "The Red Album"), was awarded gold status. The hit single "I'm Your Captain (Closer to Home)", from the album Closer to Home, also released in 1970, was considered stylistically representative of Terry Knight and the Pack's recordings. The band spent $100,000 on a New York Times Square billboard to advertise Closer to Home.
In 1970, they sold more albums than any other American band and became a major concert attraction. By 1971, Grand Funk broke The Beatles' Shea Stadium attendance record by selling out in just 72 hours. Despite critical pans and a lack of airplay, the group's first six albums (five studio releases and one live album) were quite successful. In 1970, Knight launched an intensive advertising campaign to promote the album Closer To Home. That album was certified multi-platinum despite a lack of critical approval. Following Closer To Home, Live Album was also released in 1970, and was another gold disc recipient.
Survival and E Pluribus Funk were both released in 1971. E Pluribus Funk celebrated the Shea Stadium show with a embossed depiction of the stadium on the album cover's reverse!

The Vinyl
On initial inspection this looks awesome super original glossy sheen from new still retained a beautiful looking vinyl! Initially I can hardly see a blemish at all, and in my opinion first glance looks like new! In strong light only could possibly very few surface marks be seen (mainly sleeve removal only)! Which have very little if (no) effect on the awesome playback. Please note! I can see very small dots at one place only on side 1 which looks like a needle has been droped at this point, these are minute and very hard to spot but cause very light static type ticks only that I heard but in my opinion do not really detrack much from the awesome top clear audio quality through out this album!
The Audio
I have played this through track for track on a top system at very loud volume! The audio is awesome Top sounding on all frequencies! Super Super seperation! Cristal clear and vibrant with (no) signs of distortion or that this has been overplayed at all Please note! Quite amaizingly I never heard any major interfearance at all (no) distortion (no) major background static crackle this is quite exceptional indeed! Just the one place as previously mentioned where it looks like a needle has been dropped at some time causes very light ticks at the intro to one track only. THIS IS EXCEPTIONAL AUDIO! Must be at least Excellent to excellent plus in my opinion!
Absolutely superbe!!A very playable vinyl with just minor isolated light static ticks/ that perhapes might not even be noticable on some systems, Please note that I play test these vinyls at very loud volume and i would class myself as extreemely critical!.
Please note! It is easy to be critical about these 70s pressings especially the fact that there are so many many quiet tracks!,, Please allow for some light static /ticks (not) consistant throughout the audio! ,Although I never heard any problems ,Please remember that this is a 40 year old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 40 year old system!
A constant clean is recomended before each play. This vinyl has been stored in a case for at least 30 years or more laying dormant! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static crackle\ticks and constant cleaning reduces this!!
The labels
These feature the original Grand Funk Railroad labels featured on the labels in superbe condition! Amaizingly I find it difficult to see no more than one or two feint spider marks on each side even when angled in strong light.(This has barely ever been played no more than two or three times of times if that. unbeleivable to find) This certainly has not been overplayed in my opinion! Little if (no) spindleware the hole is perfectly round!
The Cover
This is the original early Embossed Rounded shaped silver colored cover!! In awesome condition (rarely seen like this! (AMAIZINGLY No real nasty creases at all to talk of (no) nasty marks , or tares!! UNBELEIVABLE CONDITION SUPERBE SPINE! ! Any storage ware/ring ware or rubbing at the edges you would have to look for to notice any. very slight vinyl impression only noticed at the rear if looked for. must be at least Excellent plus to very near perfect in my opinion. Try to find better after 40 years!
The record sleeve is just a plain poly anti static sleeve.
The Insert
This is the original lyric, picture insert as new see photos!
