A Douglas & Lewis Production - screen story and screenplay by Robert Alan Aurthur - directed by John Frankenheimer - produced by Edward Lewis - music by Maurice Jarre.

Review:
Maurice Jarre's long and star-lined career will probably be best remembered for his soundtracks to director David Lean's Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago. But Jarre should also get a few outbreaks of applause for his backdrops to John Frankenheimer's Grand Prix (1966).

There's a nice pace between the screen action and romance with dramatically layered set pieces ("The Zansvoort Race"), bossa nova ("Sarti's Theme"), and fetching love themes ("Scott and Pat-Sarti and Louise"). A good way to delve deeper into the Jarre catalog.
