RECORD CONDITION: SIDE ONE IS VG++/VG+. OCCASIONAL VERY MINOR POP IN EARLY PART OF FIRST & SECOND CUTS. THEN EXCELLENT FOR REST OF SIDE.  POPS ARE NOT EXCESSIVE. SIDE TWO IS VG++. VERY LIGHT SCRATCHES ON THIS SIDE, THAT DO NOT AFFECT PLAYBACK. BEAUTIFUL BLUE NOTE MONO SOUND. EXCELLENT LABELS. COVER IS VG++/VG+. ALL CORNERS AND SEAMS AND OUTER SEAM INTACT. MINOR WEAR ON SEAMS. BOTTOM SEAM DARKED WITH BLACK MARKER FOR ONE INCH BY PREVIOUS OWNER. MINOR BLACK MARKER MARK ON BACK COVER.  NOTHING UGLY (SEE PHOTOS). ACTUALLY VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR A 45 YEAR-PLUS ALBUM COVER. THIS WOULD BE OTHER DEALERS NM OR NM-, BUT I AM VERY CAREFUL ABOUT MY GRADING. PLAY GRADED AND LISTED CONSERVATIVELY. SOME VERY LIGHT SPINNEL MARKS. RECORD CLEANED USING A 16.5 VPI MACHINE.

ITEM INFORMATION: This is Grant Green’s first Blue Note LP. All Music Website states, “Grant Green's debut album still ranks as one of his greatest pure soul-jazz outings, a set of killer grooves laid down by a hard-swinging organ trio. For having such a small lineup -- just organist Baby Face Willette and drummer Ben Dixon -- the group cooks up quite a bit of power, really sinking its teeth into the storming up-tempo numbers and swinging loose and easy on the ballads. The influence of the blues on both Green and Willette is strong and, while that's far and away the dominant flavor of the session, Green also displays his unique bop phrasing.

A very rare Blue Note LP and a worthy addition to a quality jazz record collection.

GRADING: Sealed LP’s are noted in their description. I grade by both visual inspection and play. Mint is not used. Near Mint is my highest grade and should play problem free; VG++ should play problem free or with noted shortcomings noted in write-up.  VG+ is listed with any shortcomings noted in write-up. My description will be accurate. All items guaranteed, but I do not refund shipping costs.

I request that payment be made through PayPal only. Contact me via eBay mail if not possible. My items have no reserve. I ship worldwide and will combine winning bids to save on postage. I recommend all items that sell at $100.00 plus be shipped insured. Because of the value of some items, I may at my discretion require insurance. FREQUENTCY OF SHIPPING: I do try and ship as quickly as I can, but sometimes it can take a week or so to send items out, depending on how many orders I have. Note that media mail can take three weeks from when I receive payment.
