Description

Up for auction is a really nice copy of the Grant Green album "Street Of Dreams" released on Blue Note Records (BST 84253) in 1966.  This is an original, stereo, first pressing.  Comes with original Blue Note inner sleeve.  This album was originally recorded in stereo, not in mono and then remixed for stereo.  Beautiful sound.  Labels are Blue Note Records, A Division of Liberty Records, which is the original label for this Blue Note release.  "Van Gelder" stamped in dead wax, but no "ears".  No copies of this record ever had the "ears" because Blue Note records after 4227 used a different pressing plant.  The cover of this copy is in really nice shape.  Bold, colorful graphics on front.  No seams splits, no writing, no tears.  Corners sharp.  Tiny hint of ring wear along right side of front is the only detraction.  Back cover is beautiful, bone white, unmarked and super clean.  I'd grade this cover Near Mint Minus (NM-)/EX+.  The heavy vinyl is in very nice condition.  No obvious scratches or scuffs.  Perhaps some very superficial signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a few times.  Labels are clean and bright, no marks around spindle holes, indicating very little previous play.  I've play tested this record, and its sound really nice, clear and bright.  Not audiophile perfect, but very clean for an original Blue Note pressing.  I'd grade the vinyl Near Mint Minus (NM-) just to be on the safe side.  Overall, a very presentable and collectible copy of this Blue Note issue.
