Description
This is an extremely well preserved copy, SUPER CLEAN! See photos and read condition section above. M- cover, EXcellent vinyl surfaces. This copy plays loud and clear, with none to neglegible background noise..... This copy appears to be a sort of transitional copy, as it has BLUENOTE stamped in the deadwax, along with VANGELDER stamped. The matrix #'s BLP 4253 A and BLP 4253 B are scribed in deadwax. NO Plastylite P. The label ink is a little darker than Plastylite pressings, and the Deep Groove which had disappeared on Plastylite pressings by this time, is here in shallower form. One can put their fingernail in the groove on this copy, although it's narrower and shallower than older Blue Note deep groove pressings. When Liberty took over Blue Note, they used their own pressing plant, ALL-DISC in New Jersey, for east coast pressing. Plastylite never pressed for Liberty at all. This is the third Liberty release after buying out BLue Note and receiving all their old inventory, including labels, cover slicks, etc. Please ask any questions.
