GRANT GREEN “Street of Dreams” RVG, Blue Note BLP 4253 Mono Vinyl

This is 1967, first edition, “VAN GELDER” stamped pressing of GRANT GREEN’s “Street of Dreams” on the "Liberty” labels of Blue Note BLP 4253. Musicians include Grant Green – guitar, Bobby Hutcherson – vibes, Larry Young – organ, Elvin Jones -drums.

VINYL plays with very light surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. Very good gloss. A few hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “Liberty” labels are clean, minor spindle wear. Original inner sleeve included. See photos.

COVER is worn, ringwear, stains, corners worn. Seams and spine fully taped.  “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows wear, tape, ink signature, radio stamp, "PROPERTY OF WHRB RETURN TO COFFIN.” Please see photos.

   

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
