GRANT SMITH AND THE POWER “Keep On Running” Top! Original Canadian R&B Soul Rock lp M-
1968/Canada/Boo Records BST 6802…..here’s a clean original pressing of this rare lp . The cover is in the shrink and in very clean condition with corner wear from popping through the shrink, old price sticker on shrink, otherwise the cover is solid and clean with no splits or delete. The vinyl is in clean Excellent condition close to M- with a small patch of mostly inaudible tiny light grit scratches from being sealed with no inner sleeve, otherwise the vinyl is clean and plays with light noise at cue and between tracks. Plays with clean fidelity. A gorgeous copy for any collection! Please check my auctions for other psych, prog, and rock lp’s. Good luck and thanks for looking!
The band’s debut 45, a soul version of The Spencer Davis Group’s ‘Keep on Running’ coupled with Smith and Stevens’ ‘Her Own Life’, came out in January 1968 (as did the second single on MGM). Both singles were recorded (with Steve Kennedy on the sessions) at Toronto music mogul, Art Snider’s Sound Canada studios in Toronto. Soon afterwards, Palma left and new guitarist Kenny Marco, who had played with Ayres in The Beau Keys during the mid-‘60s (and in the interim, The Upset) was recruited. Later that year, former Dianne Brooks, Eric Mercury and The Soul Searchers member, Steve Kennedy joined. In October 1968, Harrison left to join McKenna Mendelson Mainline but was not replaced immediately. Stevens also left at this point and William Smith from The Soul Searchers came in, covering bass on Hammond organ. The album was released in late 1968.

GRADING
MINT: I consider only New Unplayed or Sealed items.
M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.
EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have a few minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.
VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
