GRAPEFRUIT – AROUND GRAPEFRUIT LP (DUNHILL DS 50050) (1968) (EX-/VG+)

·      BAND: UK Pop-Psych-Rock band circa 67/71, they were named after one of Yoko Ono’s art books by John Lennon and had heavy Beatles involvement in their early career.

·      TOTAL OUTPUT: Twelve singles (1968) and two LP’s (68/71).

·      PRESSING: First US Pressing, 1968.

·      LABEL: Dunhill (Black with Dunhill rainbow logo and silver lettering) (DS 50050)

·      MATRIX RUNOUT NUMBERS (Etched):  A: (DS-50050-A LW) B: (DS-50050-B LW)

·      CONDITION: FRONT COVER: VG+ (Moderate ring-wear. Top seam has moderate wear and no splits. Bottom seam has moderate wear and no splits. Spine has moderate wear and lettering is slightly impacted.  

·      CONDITION: BACK COVER: VG++ (Less visible ring wear, and has some writing in pen.)

·      CONDITION: DUST JACKET SLEEVE: VG+ (Features current Dunhill Artists circa 1968 and has a slight crease. No Splits. Inside Cardboard of cover has someone’s name written in red pen but is not visible until the record is removed.

·      CONDITION: VINYL: Plays with minimal surface noise on quiet passages and has overall audio grade of EX-.

NOTE: My LP’s are visually graded with the exception of two sound samples from the first songs on each side which can be heard with the links provided below.

Hi folks, this is Velvetfogg, founder of the U-SPACES music collective which ran from 1997 to 2020 on Yahoogroups.  I try to list records on Sundays, some Auction and some Buy It Now.

 

GRADING SCALE:

NM/M: Played once or twice. No visible surface or playback wear.

EX: Has been played but has no scratches, minimal to no wear and plays without surface noise.

EX- Plays without surface noise, but might have a few visible minor scratches.

VG++: May have a few surface scratches or a little wear, but plays nicely with only minimal surface noise and clicks.

VG+: "Typical used record".  A little wear, a few minor (light) scratches, but plays well. Surface noise may be more present during soft passages. No Skips

VG: More wear and significant surface noise. Deeper scratches. May have a skip.

G: Significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. (Beat up record!) May have skips.

(All LP’s are visually-graded with sound samples being provided for the first song on each side.)

LP’s ship via USPS Priority Mail Cubic (domestic) or USPS First Class International. Professional cardboard 45 mailers will be used with proper bubble packing.

Priority Shipping is available for higher priced international items upon request and includes insurance but is expensive. (For international orders, please research these costs in your country prior to bidding.
