I am parting with some of my treasured LPs.  Here's the FIRST US PRESSING from THE GRATEFUL DEAD, titled AMERICAN BEAUTY from 1970, 2WS1893.  The first pressings had green labels the Grateful Dead on the spine and back cover, and producer role spears as The Grateful Dead.

• both sides with the drum and drumsticks stamped

This is an exceptional copy.  The early Dead LPs are difficult to find in such clean condition because they were a small regional band in '70, and second the fans who did buy these were people who played them hard and with no thought of future plays. This copy is STILL IN SHRINK, and with a WB HYPE STICKER.  The front cover is beautiful.  There are corner dings that are very small on the top left and bottom right.  And at some point, someone decided that to keep the shrink in tact it would be a good idea to use scotch tape to adhere the shrink front and back cover to the opening.  It's not a bad job at all, but I needed to mention it.  The back cover is perfect.  The SPINE is perfect, except the pre noted top corner ding.  The vinyl plays great. M-, but on close inspection under bright light there are hairlines an a mark or so visible.  The LP comes with it's ORIGINAL INNER which is in perfect condition.
This LP is an essential LP in any music library.  As the title is American Beauty, the LP explores a certain kind of Americana experience.  This would be a popular record for them that would sell well over the years, and with songs that would become staples of their live shows, and iconic in the annals of rock history.    
I love original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me.  PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY.  I AM POSTING SOME VERY COOL RECORDS.
SS    = (STILL SEALED) The record itself is in brand new condition, assumed never to have been played.

M      = (MINT)  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, 
booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

M -    = (MINT MINUS)  MINT- is not MINT but is very close to it, near new, there might be a blemish or two, but overall record and jacket are like new or very close to new.

EX     = (EXCELLENT)  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight 
wear and / or creasing. 

VG    = (VERY GOOD)  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the
occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G      = (GOOD)  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and 
contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

F       = (FAIR)  The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will 
be torn, stained and / or defaced.

P       = (POOR)  The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

B       = (BAD)  The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler
