High Gloss Vinyl is exceptionally clean with few very light top surface hair-scuffs only, that are inaudible. LP plays extremely clean and clear EX+ to NM throughout. Labels are immaculate both sides.

Still in the complete, clean original shrink wrap with no tears, splits or missing shrink; small breathing hole in shrink, top front. Vibrant, super clean, near perfect cover shows one mild corner crease, 1 side only; otherwise Near Mint with straight edges and sharp corners all around. Spine text is crisp, sharp and 100% legible.

AOXOMOXOA was remixed in 1971. Original 1969 mix issues, as here, are now very hard to find in top condition - especially with a top condition cover; critical on this album that features perhaps the number 1 most quintessential 1960s Psychedelic cover art of all time.
Both the full color Front cover with the stunning Rick Griffin acid artwork and the back cover with the iconic Thomas Weir band / family Photo are Crystal clear with sharpest, solid 1st impression line-work and detail. NO wear, blemishes, writing, discoloration or soil.
This title unfortunately and infamously picked up significant ring wear quite quickly; it is extremely rare to find an original cherry condition cover still in the shrink wrap today.
Boxed W7 logo on olive green labels as well as on front and back cover.
Original ("Commemorating Ten Years Of The Best Entertainment on Record") Warner Bros.-Seven Arts W7 company inner sleeve included. *Record kept in separate anti-static lined inner to protect both the Vinyl and the original inner.
Back cover does NOT have the later-added “REMIXED BY PHIL LESH…SEPTEMBER 1971” disclaimer along the back cover's bottom edge that is found on following editions.

The LP includes seminal psychedelic rockers such as "St. Stephen”, "China Cat Sunflower” and "Cosmic Charlie”, as well as hints of the direction their music would soon take on the Baroque-influenced "Mountains of the Moon" and "Rosemary”.
The folky "Dupree's Diamond Blues" -- which itself was loosely based on the traditional "Betty & Dupree" -- would likewise foreshadow the sound of their next two LPs, Workingman's Dead (1969) and American Beauty (1970). The too-trippy-for-square-heads "What's Become of the Baby" is built with layers of freaky acid effects, Hunter's surreal lyrics and Garcia's understated vocals, almost submerged beneath the acid sonics.

From an utterly vast and deep record collection, from my life-long best friend (Now merged with my own collection) who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s. . Sadly he has now left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
