Description
SOUND CLIP AT END OF DESCRIPTION. This is a lot of material from various recording sessions from 1972. The lot includes four 2 inch master tapes, one 1 inch master tape, one 12 inch acetate, various photos and negatives from recording sessions, hand written lyrics and poetry, studio recording session logs, original artwork and related items. These recordings appear to be done by someone known as the Upton Brothers. They were recorded at Ron Chen Studios and GM Recording Studios of Detroit. The record labels are listed as Thin Man Records and Tunafart Records. Two of the studio musicians were Mick Ward and Matt Kelly who in 1973 formed the band Kingfish. This was all prior to Bob Weir joining Kingfish in 1974. I have not been able to listen to the tapes. They appear to have been stored properly. The paperwork makes reference to producers Doc Storch and SF bay area musician Frank Fisher III. Doc Storch is Sandy Fisher. Sandy Fisher worked on the 1st Crosby Stills Nash record and other projects. It also makes reference to a group called Green and Elf or GreenHouse. Please see all photos. There are more photos and negatives and paperwork that is not shown in the photos, but is also included in the lot. Please note that the Grateful Dead association is based on the ties to Kingfish. No Dead band members are on the recordings. PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE ADDED 6 TEN INCH ACETATES TO THE LISTING. SOUNDCLIP NOW ONLINE. https://youtu.be/DzjwLR-MUEg
