Description
I am selling some cool records. Here's a fantastic GATEFOLD 2LP record of the DEAD playing a unique show that was found on cassette when Jerry died. The audio does have a little hiss, as it was recorded non professionally, however, this LP is amazing. The hiss is minimal, and the performance is killer, and with side 4 all Pigpen. It was released in 2013 for Record Store Day, and only 7500 copies pressed. It was also released on CD. Issued for Record Store Day, Black Friday 2013.
Limited Edition of 7500.
Ends with a solo set by Pigpen.
"Grateful Dead" is listed as main artist on a sticker on the front of the release and the spine. The liner notes inside the gatefold are titled:
GRATEFUL DEAD
Family Dog At The Great Highway
San Francisco, CA, April 18, 1970
The front of the sleeve lists "Mickey Hart And The Heartbeats" and "Bobby Ace And His Cards From The Bottom Of The Deck" as artists; the liner notes clarify that these names were aliases used by the Grateful Dead.
This release is packaged in a gatefold sleeve.
Green Hype sticker on front with 180 Gram Vinyl Ltd. Edition 7500 and bar code.
The LP was only pressed once, and the cover, as well as the gatefold do the music justice. This copy is as new, with the exception of no shrink. The front cover bottom has a couple insignificant small marks, otherwise MINT. Plays MINT too. With so few pressed, and The Dead LP's so in demand, these copies are like gold. I priced this one to move.
