THE GRATEFUL DEAD - Stealin'(2:32) / Don't Ease Me In(2:00) - Original pressing 7" on Scorpio Records, Inc. (201) from 1966.
This is NOT the reissue.
A-side runout groove has etched STEALIN', 003/201, Commercial Recorders, Inc. and a small squiggly letter/symbol.
B-side runout groove has etched DON'T EASE ME IN, 002/201, Commercial Recorders, Inc. and the same small squiggly letter/symbol.
The A-side label has written in pen "McKern" or "McKarn" and an "X" on either side-as if that side would be the A-side. Could this possibly be Ron "Pigpen" McKernan? I have no idea whether it is or not and I make no claims that Pigpen signed this-I'm just putting it out there.
Record is in VG condition. There's some marks on both sides of the record.
I played it and the A-side (Stealin') plays with very minimal surface noise.
The B-side (Don't Ease Me In) has a light pop sound that starts about halfway through(right when the guitar lead comes in)and lasts until the end of the song. It gets more faint as the song goes along.
There's NO SKIPS at all.
Record comes in the original Campi Music Shop paper sleeve. Campi Music Shop was in San Jose, CA. I can't find much info on the shop but I did find one reference to it on a website that talked about a defunct shopping center or strip mall in San Jose in the '60's and the article mentioned Campi Music Shop.
Paper sleeve is in VG condition with wrinkling and a small tear on one side.
