This is a very rare FIRST pressing of Gravy Trains second 12'' release and by far the rarest of their LP's - you very rarely come across this LP in any shape or form as when originally released in 1971 it sold in very small quantities so nowadays very few ORIGINAL copies are to be found at all.
And to find one in this condition is even more unusual !
Visually graded under a 100W light source the vinyl retains EXCELLENT sheen - in fact looks hardly played at all - with very very few visible marks at all, even hairlines.
And the sound and audio quality on playing bears out this remarkable condition - it is EXCELLENT with very little audible surface noise at all...
Both sides have been PLAY GRADED.
Side 2 is indeed graded - EXCELLENT.
Side 1 is also EXCELLENT other than for Track 1 which has several audible clicks - the record does not skip or jump. On inspection it would appear these clicks are caused by a pressing defect rather than a surface mark or scratch. But for this reason we would downgrade Side 1 to EXCELLENT MINUS. The sound quality still remains as for Side 2 other than for these several audible clicks.
The VERTIGO SWIRL labels are also graded EXCELLENT with very very little visible spindle wear or any other marks at all.
The LAMINATED GATEFOLD sleeve is graded EXCELLENT MINUS.
There is very little visible wear at all...perhaps some minor lamination rub to the front and back top right, but other than that the sleeve is nigh on pristine.
It does have a record store sticker on the front righthand side ( The Turntable Hyde Park Corner - a better class of record store I'm sure !! ) but I am 99% sure that it could be removed without damage if so desired...
The record comes with its original VERTIGO SPIRAL INNER sleeve which is also graded EXCELLENT.
All records are shipped in new custom made strong CARDBOARD MAILERS ( not card envelopes ) with stiffeners as required.
