Vertigo 6360 051 - 1971 - RSA/UK

Original copy of the 1971 album issued on the legendary VERTIGO label. A very hard to find and among the most expensive in the Vertigo catalogue.
This is a copy made in SOUTH AFRICA, but had an UK-made original cover.
Apart from small difference in the text layout, the label design is identical to the UK pressings and the vinyl has the same matrix numbers. Full information on South African Vertigo pressings can be found on Marcel Koopman's brilliant Vertigo label site (www.vertigoswirl.com).

This record is currenly valued 600 UK Pounds for the original pressing on the latest (2014 issue) Record Collector Price Guide, hence a unique chance to buy it with a honest starting price.

COVER - The laminated gatefold cover is in VG+ condition, with some age wear and creases and a very small 1cm tear in the inside where some text has obviously been deleted. The cover is made in England and is the same as on the UK release, with the record inserted in the left panel.
The titles printed on the left side are still legible, as you can see from the pictures below.

INNER - Original Vertigo swirl inner, made in England, in Excellent condition.

VINYL - Clean and shiny, has just some light scuffs on the B-side and on part of the A-side, though on this side there is a long mark covering more than 50% of the surface. The record plays very well with light surface noise and the odd click here and there and the mark doesn't affect the playing as it could be expected. Graded VG+.
Record playgraded using a Shure V15-Type III stylus at 1.5gr.

LABELS - Original Vertigo labels (with large swirl logo on B-side) in near perfect condition with no tears or writings; the B-side label has some light yellow stains.

Copia originale dell'album pubblicato dalla leggendaria etichetta VERTIGO nel 1971. Molto difficile da trovare in qualsiasi condizione, è uno dei dischi più ricercati del catalogo Vertigo.
Questa copia è di stampa Sudafricana, ma ha la copertina dell'edizione inglese (come molti dischi Vertigo stampati in quel paese). A parte qualche piccola differenza nel carattere usato, l'etichetta è quasi identica alla versione inglese e il vinile ha gli stessi numeri di matrice. Per trovare informazioni dettagliate sulle edizioni Sudafricane dei dischi Vertigo consultate l'ottimo sito di Marcel Koopman (vertigoswirl.com).

Il disco è attualmente valutato 600 sterline nella stampa originale inglese sull'ultima edizione (2014) della Record Collector Price Guide, dunque questa è un'ottima edizione per prenderlo ad un prezzo di partenza molto basso.

COPERTINA - La copertina apribile laminata è in condizioni VG+, con usura generale, qualche piega ed un piccolissimo strappo (circa 1cm) all'interno, dove evidentemente è stata cancellata una piccola scritta. La copertina è di fabbricazione inglese ed è la stessa dell'edizione UK del disco, con il vinile inserito nel lato sinistro. 
I titoli stampati sul lato sinistro sono perfettamente leggibili, come si vede nelle foto qui sotto.

BUSTA INTERNA - Busta originale Vertigo con logo spirale, made in England, in condizioni eccellenti.

VINILE - Pulito e scintillante, sul lato B ha solo qualche segno superficiale, come anche in parte del lato A. Su questa facciata è però presente un lungo graffio, che occupa oltre metà dei solchi ma che non provoca rumori fastidiosi. Il disco suona con leggero rumore di fondo e qualche clic contenuto ed è valutato VG+.
Disco suonato con una testina Shure V15-Type III del peso di 1.5 gr.

ETICHETTE - Originali Vertigo (con logo grande sul lato B) in condizioni ottime senza strappi. L'etichetta sul lato B ha qualche leggera macchia giallastra.
