Like a good murder mystery? Walter Scott was the lead singer for Bob Kuban & The In-Men on their only hit The Cheater. After two albums with the group, he got the solo bug and issued this album the next year. Never nationally successful, he jumped around the regional club scene for the next decade or so and in the early 80s, just as he was preparing to reunite with his old band, he went missing. His body was found four years later floating in a concealed cistern and it was found that he had been shot by his wife's lover (he also had killed his own wife). He was sentenced to life and Scott's widow was sentenced to five years. Kinda gives an eerie premonition to the lyrics "look out for the cheater".
Musicland USA was a small St Louis label and this was the last of only three albums the label would issue. Only one I've ever seen. Cover is really nice with just a little top seam wear.
