Originally released as two separate LPs by Columbia Records in the USA in 1968:
Tracks A1 to B5 originally released as The Great Society With Grace Slick - Conspicuous Only In Its Absence.
Tracks C1 to D4 originally released as Grace Slick And The Great Society Vol. 2: Collectors Item - How It Was.
This is a 1989 UK issue of those 2 LPs' complete material, with a new title and different cover artwork
featuring an iconic HERB GREENE photo in same setting as SURREALISTIC PILLOW.
GRACE SLICK would leave The Great Society later the same year, joining JEFFERSON AIRPLANE.
Included here are the earliest recordings of WHITE RABBIT and SOMEBODY TO LOVE.
Copious LINER NOTES and more Herb Greene photography of the band inside gatefold.
